Seven people were reportedly shot over the weekend in Jackson, Tennessee.
According to the Jackson Police Department, officers responded to a shooting on South Royal Street at 2:16 a.m. Saturday. Police say authorities discovered a victim with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound at the scene.
While on the scene, officers reportedly discovered that two more victims had arrived at a nearby hospital. According to Jackson Police, one of the victims was airlifted to a Memphis hospital, and the other had a non-life-threatening injury.
Jackson Police reported a shooting at an apartment complex on Tinkerhill Drive a few hours later, at 10:43 p.m. While responding, authorities reportedly discovered that a man had arrived at a nearby hospital with a gunshot wound.
According to the Jackson Police Department, the victim told authorities that he was shot after getting into a confrontation with another man in the stairway of his apartment building. According to Jackson Police, officers arrived at the residence and discovered the suspect with a gunshot wound to the abdomen.
The suspect was reportedly brought to a nearby hospital before being moved to one in Memphis. Jackson Police said he is in critical condition.
According to Jackson Police, officers responded to a shooting call at the Jackson Bowling and Family Fun Center about 2:12 a.m. on Sunday.
Jackson Police say police discovered a man and a woman with gunshot wounds. According to Jackson Police, the woman was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, while the guy was admitted in critical condition.
According to Jackson Police, the incident began with an altercation between two guys inside the establishment. The debate apparently spilled into the parking lot, where a physical altercation ensued. According to Jackson Police, one of the men took out a gun and shot both victims.
Jackson Police say investigators are seeking to find the individuals and acquire further information, including analyzing security footage and tracking down witnesses.
