Man Wanted For Memphis Rapper’s Murder Apprehended In Clarksville

A man wanted for the first-degree murder of a Memphis rapper was apprehended by a US Marshals task group in Clarksville.

Kevin “KJ” Brown Jr., 23, was arrested at a motel on Wilma Rudolph Blvd. in Clarksville, according to the United States Marshals Service.

According to the US Marshals Service, the arrest comes after a shooting at the Westin Hotel in Memphis on March 22, in which Memphis rapper Sayso P, real name Latorian Hunt, was killed and Houston rapper Sauce Walka, real name Albert Mondane, was critically injured.

The Memphis Police Department’s investigation found that several gunmen were involved. According to police, another suspect, Jaden Dandridge, was discovered dead in Houston before his warrant could be served.

According to officials, he faces accusations including first-degree murder, two counts of felony criminal attempt, two counts of using a handgun during the commission of a hazardous felony, and theft of property. A warrant for his arrest was issued in Shelby County on March 26.

Officers said the Clarksville Police Department aided in the arrest, and Brown is now being held at the Montgomery County Jail.
