Jeremy Rouse, 35, is facing child neglect charges after his young, nonverbal autistic son was found wandering naked on a busy Interstate 4 entrance ramp.
Rouse allegedly realized his son was missing from the car but continued his delivery route to maintain a good Uber Eats rating. Two bystanders rescued the child before he could enter traffic lanes.
Police reported that the boy’s mother had been asleep in the passenger seat during the delivery. Rouse told officers he did not return immediately because he feared arrest.
