MDSO Investigating Fatal Double Shooting in Walgreens Parking Lot in Northwest Miami-Dade

The Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office is investigating a deadly double shooting that took place early Friday morning in a Walgreens parking lot in Northwest Miami-Dade.

Deputies responded to the area of Northwest Seventh Avenue and 95th Street around 2 a.m. after a ShotSpotter alert indicated gunfire.

When officers arrived, they found two men suffering from gunshot wounds—one inside a vehicle and another lying on the ground nearby. Both victims were pronounced dead at the scene by fire rescue crews.

A tarp covered one body beside a black Chevy Tahoe, while the other victim was located several yards away near the store’s entrance.

7News cameras captured bullet holes in the Walgreens walls and the SUV. Evidence markers lined the pavement as investigators examined the area and recovered two firearms as evidence.

Heartbroken family members gathered as the Medical Examiner’s Office removed the victims’ bodies.

Authorities have not yet released the victims’ identities, their relationship, or any possible motive. Detectives said they are not currently searching for additional suspects, but the case remains under active investigation.

The Walgreens remains closed, and the entire parking lot is taped off as investigators continue to process the scene.
