Las Vegas Woman In Arizona Jail Facing Charges In Theft Of Two Trucks And Trailer

A Las Vegas woman remains in jail after being arrested on October 3 in connection with the theft of a truck and trailer in northwest Arizona.

Jade Nikole Storm, 29, of Las Vegas, and Samantha Diane Clinkinbeard, 26, of Denver, are both charged with theft of a mode of transportation, possession of stolen property, and firearms offenses, according to information released by the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office on Tuesday.

Storm and Clinkinbeard, who both have past felony convictions, were apprehended after attempting to elude MCSO deputies searching for a stolen trailer on property they own east of Topock, a small town on the Arizona-California border along Interstate 40. The community is approximately 120 miles south of Las Vegas.

A “high-risk” stop near Topock’s 5000 block of E. Powell Lake Road halted a high-speed pursuit from the property on Polaris Road. Storm, Clinkinbeard, and a male passenger were in the black SUV that attempted to avoid deputies. An inquiry revealed that the individual was not involved in the vehicle thefts, leading to his release.

An individual phoned the sheriff’s office after leaving his truck and trailer parked at a campground, which included multiple firearms. On October 2, camp employees phoned him and informed him that the truck and trailer were missing. The owner reported the theft to the authorities.

Storm and Clinkinbeard had stayed at the campground and informed the employee about their property, according to investigators. The owner went to the property and spotted the vehicle and trailer, but no one was there.

Deputies arrived and inspected the trailer, discovering evidence linking the two to the property. According to MCSO, they discovered a second stolen truck on the site.

The black SUV arrived at the site and took off while deputies were still present, resulting in the chase and arrests.
