A jealous man allegedly jumped on his ex-girlfriend’s new boyfriend’s car before stabbing him in a confrontation outside her home, according to local police.
The incident occurred at a residence on St. Pierre Lane around 1:48 a.m. on October 10, authorities said. Officers reported that the victim’s girlfriend identified the suspect as 20-year-old Christian Alejandro Fonseca.
According to the woman, Fonseca began jumping up and down on the hood of her new boyfriend’s car. When the boyfriend confronted him, Fonseca allegedly tried to force his way into the house. During the struggle, he stabbed the boyfriend before fleeing the scene.
Police quickly located Fonseca just a few houses away. The victim was transported to a hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Investigators noted that the woman had previously reported harassment from Fonseca, who also had an active criminal trespass warning prohibiting him from being at the residence.
Fonseca was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, criminal trespass, and harassment.
