A 31-year-old St. Peter man was arrested late last week and charged with murder in the shooting deaths of two adolescents in Arizona earlier this year.
Thomas Brown arrested for double murder
According to the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office, Thomas Henry Brown was detained after Pandora Kjolsrud, 18, and Evan Clark, 17, were tragically shot while camping at Mount Ord in Tonto National Forest.
They were discovered deceased on May 27. Authorities said Brown’s DNA was discovered in one of the victim’s SUVs, inside gloves with blood on the outside.
The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office said that it received many tips regarding the incident from other campers, including Brown himself. He informed deputies that he was camping in the region on May 25 and flying his drone. He intended to share his film with law enforcement.
Gustavus Adolphus College connection
FOX 9 has learned that Thomas Brown is the son of Gustavus Adolphus College Athletic Director Tom Brown.
Who is Thomas Brown?
Thomas Brown attended St. Peter High School and graduated in 2012. According to his lawyers, he relocated to Arizona in 2020. Officials say he served as an infantryman in the Minnesota National Guard from October 2013 to December 2022. He departed the Army National Guard as a staff sergeant.
Brown is appearing in court on Wednesday.
