Fire crews battled a blaze Tuesday afternoon near Taft Highway in south Bakersfield.
Flames were visible in a field near Taft Highway and Ramos Avenue, according to reports from the scene.
Firefighters from the Kern County Fire Department responded quickly and worked to extinguish the flames.
No injuries or damage reports have been released. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
