A Rockford man has been accused of rape after police were called to investigate an assault that allegedly occurred in April.
According to the Rockford Police Department, on April 18th, officers received a report of a sexual assault in the 2300 block of Rockwell Street.
Kyle Condon, 26, was charged after a follow-up investigation by detectives from the Sensitive Crimes Unit.
Condon was detained on Wednesday, October 1.
He is charged with two counts of criminal sexual assault.
Condon was placed in the Winnebago County Jail pending the outcome of a pretrial detention hearing.
