Two pedestrians died Monday night after being struck by a train in Miami’s Little Haiti neighborhood, according to police.
The incident occurred along North Miami Avenue, just north of 71st Street, shortly before 10:45 p.m.
Miami police confirmed the victims, a male and a female, were pronounced dead at the scene. Their names and ages have not been released.
Authorities have not disclosed the type of train involved or why the pedestrians were on the tracks.
