A 27-year-old Phoenix man has been sentenced to more than nine years in jail for drug peddling on Instagram, police announced Monday.
Joshua Anthony Lubischer was on probation when he sold a minor LSD for $10 over Instagram, according to the Arizona Attorney General’s Office.
On January 4, the Buckeye Police Department received a report about this sale.
During the interview, the minor offered the Instagram account and a description of Lubischer and his vehicle. According to authorities, the juvenile reportedly informed investigators that Lubischer offered to sell cocaine, Xanax, and LSD.

Investigators later identified Lubischer and discovered that his Instagram account linked to a Telegram account that provided a menu of medicines and costs, according to prosecutors.
Five days after Buckeye police received the initial report, police discovered several substances at his residence using a search warrant, including:
- 24 LSD tabs
- 10 ecstasy pills
- 66 alprazolam pills
- 1 oz of cannabis wax
- 17 grams packaged marijuana
- 65 grams of THC in vape cartridges
- 101 grams of psylocibin mushrooms
They also discovered package seals and a digital scale.
According to court documents, he was indicted in January on nine counts, including possessing a dangerous narcotic for sale, money laundering, and conspiracy.
Cases like these are not uncommon. Earlier this year, the Arizona Attorney General’s Office developed a new website to educate residents on how their favorite apps may be enabling unlawful activities.
