A crash on Beatties Ford Road killed one person and critically injured another on Friday afternoon, according to officials.
Huntersville Fire and Medic reported that the accident occurred around 2:30 p.m. between Jim Kidd Road and McIlwaine Road.
The road was stopped by emergency crews as they cleared the site and conducted an investigation.
Until further notice, drivers should avoid the area. Gilead Road has been proposed as an alternate route.
