$14K And 30 Grams Of Cocaine Confiscated After Months-long Drug Investigation

A months-long drug investigation led to the seizure of 30 grams of cocaine and $14,000 in cash from the alleged dealer’s home.

Daneil Oritz was arrested on September 29 at 6:05 a.m. following a two-month investigation by the Hazleton Police Department Narcotics Unit, which is part of the Luzerne County Drug Task Force.

During the investigation, investigators performed many surveillance details and controlled purchases of cocaine from Ortiz. Officers then carried out a search warrant at a residence on the 100 block of East Broad Street in West Hazleton.

According to investigators, the search uncovered over 30 grams of cocaine, $14,773.00 in cash, and a stolen pistol.

Ortiz was charged with delivering a controlled narcotic, specifically cocaine, as well as other connected crimes.

His bond was set at $150,000, and he is still at the Luzerne County Correctional Facility.
