Florida Woman Accused of Drugging Men, Stealing Luxury Watches in Burglary Scheme

Police arrested  Florida women Angelina Chenel Esty, 25, for allegedly drugging men she met at bars and stealing their luxury watches in a string of burglary cases. The Miami Police Department charged her with one count of burglary of an occupied dwelling and one count of grand theft between $20,000–$100,000.

Authorities said this is not Esty’s first time facing accusations of drugging men and stealing high-end timepieces.

The most recent incident occurred on August 9 at an apartment on Brickell Bay Drive, according to police reports. One victim told officers he woke up to find his $20,000 Rolex, $4,000 in cash, and his friend’s $1,000 replica Rolex missing. Police also noted an unauthorized $500 Cash App transfer from the victim’s account.

Surveillance footage placed Esty and a companion at the bar earlier that night, investigators said. The victim later picked Esty out of a photo lineup. He told police he vaguely remembered the evening and suspected he had been drugged.

Investigators described Esty as a “known offender with prior arrests for similar bad date thefts.” She had surrendered to authorities in Doral in May for comparable charges, police noted.

Detectives linked Esty to at least three separate incidents since March:

  • March 10 – E11EVEN nightclub (Miami): A man said he took Esty to his home, quickly became ill after one drink, and lost consciousness. He later woke to find both Esty and his Rolex missing.

  • March 22 – Blackbird Ordinary (Miami): Another man reported inviting two women, including Esty, to his home. After falling asleep, he awoke to find the women gone—along with an $11,000 Rolex, $8,000 cash, and sunglasses.

  • August 9 – Brickell Bay Drive: The most recent victim said he lost his Rolex, cash, and friend’s replica watch, in addition to the Cash App theft.

Authorities said they are continuing to investigate Esty’s connections to similar thefts in the Miami area.
