Authorities found the body of a 33-year-old California woman down an embankment in the Angeles National Forest. Investigators suspect foul play after surveillance footage surfaced showing her husband dragging “a large object.”
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office identified the woman as Sheylla Cabrera, who was reported missing on August 12.
Officials said surveillance video showed her husband, Jossimar Cabrera, dragging “a large object in a large piece of material” from their Lancaster apartment complex, where they lived with their three children, on August 13.
Three days later, during a forest search, the Montrose Mountain Search and Rescue Team discovered an object resembling the material in the footage. Authorities later confirmed it contained Sheylla Cabrera’s body. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
