A Honduran mother was detained after dropping her children off at a local elementary school.
According to an arrest report from the Lady Lake Police Department, Enni Yaneri Caballero Suchites, 29, of Leesburg, was driving a blue Chrysler four-door when she exited The Villages Elementary of Lady Lake at approximately 8:30 a.m. Tuesday and made a left turn at a “Right Turn Only” sign.
An officer told Caballero Suchites to stop, but she continued driving down the neighboring Duck Lake route, making a U-turn when she realized the route had come to an end.
She informed the police that she does not speak English and does not have a driver’s license. She had a Honduran ID. The officer confirmed that Caballero Suchites dropped her children off at school.
She was arrested on the charge of driving without a license. She was booked into Lake County Jail and released after posting a $500 bond.
