A 19-year-old Winter Haven man was apprehended on Saturday for reportedly throwing a paver through his neighbor’s glass door during a dispute over a $20 lawn service payment.
According to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, Da’Karai Lamb was arrested on September 20th and charged with felony criminal mischief and launching a lethal missile at a building.
The incident occurred about 7:10 p.m., when the victim awoke from a slumber to the sound of his glass door shattering.
Deputies said the homeowner found a paver thrown through the door. He then witnessed Lamb, who lives in the same neighborhood and does lawn work for him, flee the scene.
The victim informed detectives that he missed multiple calls from Lamb while resting, all of which requested payment for the services.
The damage to the home is estimated to be roughly $2,000. Lamb was sent to the Sheriff’s Processing Center after his arrest.
