Truck Driver Apprehended After Arizona Troopers Find $187,000 In Stolen Copper In Trailer, DPS Says

The Arizona Department of Public Safety (AZDPS) Highway Patrol recently apprehended a truck driver after discovering “a stolen load” in his trailer.

On September 11, 2025, the AZDPS “received a call about a semi carrying a stolen load from Doña Ana County, New Mexico.”

An AZDPS Highway Patrol Detective discovered the semi-truck on I-10 west of Eloy.

Troopers pulled over the truck and discovered a load of stolen copper in the trailer.

The trucker was arrested without incident.

Police said they discovered $187,000 in merchandise during the traffic stop.
