A man was shot and killed outside a Miami gentlemen’s club early Sunday morning, according to police.
Miami Police reported the investigation centered on the ONE Gentlemen’s Club near Northeast 79th Street.
When officers arrived, they found a man in his 30s with gunshot wounds. Fire Rescue crews pronounced him dead at the scene. His identity has not yet been released.
NBC6 cameras showed multiple officers combing the area and collecting evidence.
Neighbors told NBC6 the shooting felt out of place for their community.
“At our last trust meeting, we got word from the police that, like all crimes have been at a historic low in this community, so to hear that someone got shot last night is disheartening,” said Ashley Toussiant, who works to uplift the Little Haiti community.
Toussiant added that the incident highlights broader issues.
“I think it’s a bigger question like how people should act, but we also got to look at like how our gun policies might have to shift, so that gun violence doesn’t continue to happen,” he said.
Police said no arrests have been made.
