5 People Arrested In Scranton Drug Investigation

Authorities said five people were detained as a result of a month-long investigation into crack cocaine sales in the Scranton area.

Lackawanna County District Attorney Brian J. Gallagher announced the following five arrests after a month-long drug ring investigation:

  • Luis Cardona, 25
  • Jim Rodriguez Gailiano, 34
  • Leslie Alicia Ramos, 39
  • Mariangelys Robles Guzman, 35
  • Joseph Esquilin Moldonado, 31

A search warrant was issued in the 320 block of Prospect Avenue on Scranton’s South Side. Detectives reported finding cocaine, cash, and different drug trafficking gear during the search.

Four controlled crack cocaine purchases sparked the investigation.

All five accused were charged with drug trafficking for their alleged involvement in the ongoing drug trafficking operation.
