Police: 16-year-old Boy Arrested And Accused Of Stabbing His Father To Death Inside Pearland Home

A 16-year-old boy is under arrest after being accused of killing his father inside a Pearland residence on Tuesday morning, according to authorities.

Authorities said the teen was charged with aggravated assault with a dangerous weapon and aggravated assault on a family member. Officials said the teen was recognized as the victim’s son and is currently being held at the Brazoria County Juvenile Detention Center.

According to Pearland police, officers were summoned to a residence in the 9000 block of Sundown Drive in connection with a death investigation.

Law enforcement authorities arrived and discovered a man’s body inside one of the home’s bedrooms. The victim was ultimately identified as 43-year-old Willie Washington, who suffered several stab wounds and died at the scene, according to authorities.

Officers report that the victim’s truck was missing from the house. Police eventually utilized a Flock License Plate Reader to find the truck. Officers attempted a traffic stop, but the young driver fled, resulting in a pursuit that stopped when the vehicle collided on Almeda and the 610 South Loop.
