UPDATE – The missing girl has been found safe, according to authorities.
ORIGINAL: Nassau police are seeking the public’s assistance in locating a Port Washington girl who has been missing since Wednesday.
Elize “Ellie” Avazis, 15, was last spotted leaving her home and possibly heading near Manorhaven, police said.
Avazis is characterized as white, 5 feet 5 inches tall, 110 pounds, with long brown hair and blue eyes. She wore a grey blouse, denim shorts, and white sneakers.
Anyone with information on her location should contact the police department’s Missing Persons Squad at 516.573.7347 or 911. All calls will stay anonymous.
