Authorities are looking for help finding a man accused of using stolen credit cards to go on a shopping spree after stealing a vehicle. Last Saturday, Constable Mark Herman’s Office was called to a Costco on the Northwest Freeway after receiving reports of a motor vehicle burglary. The culprit, described as an African American male, was captured on video surveillance entering the victim’s car and stealing a pocketbook containing different personal items inside.
The suspect rapidly moved away from the scene of the burglary and appeared at a nearby Walmart. Cameras showed the culprit attempting to use the victim’s credit cards to purchase a bunch of gift cards totaling $813.68, according to the Constable’s Office.
Constable Mark Herman, in a statement posted on his official Facebook site, implored the community to come forward with information. “If you have any information regarding this case, you are urged to contact our dispatch or your local law enforcement,” the cop said. The message also recommended that users download the “C4 NOW” smartphone app, which provides alerts on surrounding incidents, arrests, and accidents.
