On August 19, 2025, Kern County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a reported burglary at the Dollar General on Rosamond Blvd. Deputies determined that three suspects had stolen about $144 worth of laundry detergent and fled the scene in a vehicle.
By 12:30 p.m., deputies located the suspect vehicle at an apartment complex on Diamond Street. Officers established a perimeter, during which one suspect tried to escape by jumping from a second-story window but was quickly caught after a short foot pursuit. Commands over a public address system led to the detention of the remaining two suspects.
Deputies from the Mojave Substation assisted with a search warrant for the residence and vehicle. While the stolen detergent was not recovered, authorities found multiple firearms, including an AK-47 and a sawed-off shotgun, a large quantity of ammunition, and drug paraphernalia.
