A man died after an early morning shooting in Sacramento’s Del Paso Heights neighborhood, police said.
Officers responded around 12:30 a.m. Saturday to reports of gunfire in the 900 block of North Avenue. When they arrived, they found a man with gunshot wounds. He was taken to a hospital, where he later died.
Detectives are investigating the events leading up to the shooting. No suspect information has been released.
The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office will release the victim’s identity.
