Man Shot, Robbed of $30K Rolex at Miramar Apartments; Suspect on the Run

A 33-year-old man was hospitalized early Sunday after being shot and robbed of his $30,000 Rolex at the Solena Apartments in Miramar, police said.

Miramar Police reported that around 1:50 a.m., officers responded to the 3000 block of 147th Terrace and found the victim inside a residence with a gunshot wound. Investigators said an unidentified man confronted the victim, demanded the luxury watch, shot him, and fled.

The victim was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and is expected to fully recover. Police did not disclose the location of the wound.

Authorities set up a perimeter, and Broward Sheriff’s Office K9 and Aviation units joined the search, but the suspect remains at large.

Police urge anyone with information to contact them anonymously as the investigation continues.
