Houston Officer Investigated After Viral TikTok Promising Tickets for All

A Houston-area deputy is under internal investigation after a TikTok video showed her jokingly claiming she’d issue tickets to “everyone” due to personal frustrations.

Harris County Constable Precinct 5 Deputy Jennifer Escalera posted a now-deleted video in uniform, writing notes with the caption: “Didn’t get cracked last night so everyone is getting a ticket.” The comment, a bold reference to her unsatisfying evening, sparked immediate backlash.

Though Escalera blurred parts of her uniform, her name tag was clearly visible in the video. The post quickly gained attention before being taken down.

According to Fox 26, the constable’s office confirmed the incident is under review.

“Our administration is aware and internal affairs has opened an investigation. We have no other comment at this time,” the office stated.

Escalera joined the department in September 2021, as highlighted in a past Facebook post. Her TikTok account includes numerous videos of her in uniform, as well as content about her life as a mother.

In one post, she films herself preparing for duty with on-screen text reading: “contemplating if I really need this job, knowing that I do.”

Some residents expressed concern over the deputy’s online behavior, especially given her role in law enforcement.
