Saline Man, 61, Dies in Snowmobile Crash in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula

A 61-year-old man from Saline, Michigan, died after a snowmobile crash in Clark Township on Saturday afternoon, according to the Michigan State Police.

Troopers responded to the incident near Bay City Lake Road and Trail 47 around 12:58 p.m. Investigators said the man was driving a snowmobile on the trail when he hit a bump and was ejected from the vehicle.

Despite receiving medical aid at the scene, the man did not survive. Officials said neither drugs nor alcohol appear to have played a role in the crash.

Clark Township Emergency Medical Services, the Mackinac County Sheriff’s Office, and Michigan’s Department of Natural Resources assisted troopers in managing the incident.

Clark Township, located in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, is approximately 329 miles northwest of Detroit.
