BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — One person died Sunday after a crash involving a fuel-carrying semi truck near Mojave.
The California Highway Patrol said the crash occurred shortly after 8 p.m. on Highway 58 near Exit 172.
According to CHP, a vehicle was driving erratically when it crashed into a semi truck transporting fuel. The impact caused fuel to spill onto the roadway, forcing a complete closure of the highway.
CHP later confirmed that all lanes have reopened.
