87-year-old Woman Robbed At Gunpoint In Greenwich Village, Suspect Wanted

The New York Police Department released surveillance footage Tuesday of a man wanted in the gunpoint robbery of an 87-year-old woman in Greenwich Village over the weekend.

Just after midnight on Sunday, Oct. 26, the victim was entering a residential building near the intersection of West 4th Street and Jane Street when she was approached from behind by the suspect, according to authorities.

The suspect allegedly displayed a firearm, verbally threatened the victim, and then demanded her belongings. The woman handed over her handbag, and the suspect fled the area on foot, last seen walking east on Jane Street.

He was last seen wearing a black cap, a black sweatshirt, a brown jacket, black jeans, and grey, white, and black shoes.
