74-year-old Woman Dies Following Collision With Unlicensed Teen In Baltimore County

Police are investigating a fatal collision in Baltimore County on Saturday that killed a 74-year-old woman.

Officers arrived at the incident along New Town Boulevard and Middle Mill Drive in Owings Mills at 11:20 a.m. on August 17.

Police say officers and Baltimore County paramedics discovered Patricia Cook, the driver of a 2019 Honda Fit, stuck inside her vehicle. Cook was pronounced deceased on the scene.

Detectives discovered that the driver of the other car, a Jeep, was going northbound on New Town Boulevard at a potentially high speed when he collided with the Honda Fit.

Cook collided with another vehicle while turning left from Middle Mill Drive into New Town Boulevard.

The Jeep’s operator, a 16-year-old unlicensed driver, left the scene on foot before returning with a family member.

The Baltimore County Police Department’s Crash Team is looking into the crash.

Police said charges are pending.
