56 Undocumented People Apprehended On Immigration Violations

Last month, 19 people in Niagara County were detained and put on immigration hold. Another 37 people were detained on the New York State Thruway in October. The current administration has concentrated heavily on illegal immigrants, organizing a private army of ICE agents to pursue people with criminal records as well as those who have lived quietly in the United States for many years.

A border police operation near Buffalo on Interstate 90 resulted in 37 arrests. US Border Patrol agents targeted commercial trucks on the New York State Thruway. The undocumented immigrants were driving with valid state-issued commercial driver licenses. The crackdown took place from November 8 to November 11, 2025. The agents targeted eleven places on the Thruway.

Agents discovered that 30 of the 37 people arrested had legitimate commercial driver licenses from New York, California, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, New Jersey, Ohio, Oregon, and Pennsylvania. The remaining seven people apprehended were not driving at the time of their arrests. All 37 illegal immigrants were male, and they were processed and turned over to Immigration and Customs Enforcement for deportation proceedings.
