4 Arrested On Palmetto Expressway In Miami-dade Following Recovery Of Stolen Vehicle

Law enforcement arrested four people in connection with a reported stolen vehicle on the Palmetto Expressway in Miami-Dade yesterday, causing delays for travelers.

The incident took place in the northbound lanes near West Flagler Street and did not involve a chase, according to Local 10.

The Florida Highway Patrol and Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office collaborated on the stop.

Deputies from the Midwest District responded around 1:45 p.m. A deputy initially identified a white Range Rover Sport as stolen.

According to NBC Miami, the northbound SR-826 off-ramp was briefly closed as part of the investigation.

The Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office stated that the stop was without injuries or difficulties and that the driver consented without issue. The identities of those detained have not been revealed, and no charges have been filed. Detectives from the MDSO Midwest Auto Theft Unit are handling the current investigation.
