4 Apprehended After Carjacking In Colorado Springs: Police

The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) reported that four people were apprehended after a vehicle was stolen on October 2.

According to the Colorado Springs Police Department, officers responded to a carjacking of a blue 2006 Jeep Liberty on the 500 block of South Nevada Avenue near downtown Colorado Springs.

On Monday, CSPD officers performed a BATTLE operation with the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office and the Colorado State Patrol, locating the stolen vehicle.

According to reports, the stolen vehicle was discovered by the Motor Vehicle Theft unit near East Platte Avenue and North Murray Boulevard.

Surveillance then tracked the vehicle to the 3900 block of San Miguel Street, near North Academy Boulevard, where four individuals were apprehended.

Travis Butler, 38, Brittany Flores, and Tervon Harvey, 35, were detained for robbery, while Andre Burns, 45, was arrested on an outstanding warrant.

Butler was charged with robbery, motor vehicle theft, and previous offender possession of a weapon; Flores was charged with robbery and motor vehicle theft; and Harvey was charged with felony possession of fentanyl.

CSPD said that various items were discovered during the arrest, including a 9mm semi-automatic handgun.
