2 Women Injured In Drive-by Shooting On Chicago’s West Side

Two women were injured in a drive-by shooting in Chicago’s South Austin neighborhood on Saturday morning.

Chicago police said the women, aged 21 and 23, were standing on the sidewalk in the 800 block of North Waller shortly after 1:15 a.m. when someone inside a white car fired shots.

According to police, the 21-year-old victim was rushed to Mt. Sinai Hospital in critical condition after receiving a gunshot wound to the head.

The 23-year-old victim was transferred to the same hospital in fair condition, with a gunshot wound to his ankle.

There have been no arrests made.

Area Four detectives are conducting an investigation.
