2 Syracuse Women Detained After Shoplifting From Tractor Supply In Cortlandville

According to State Police, troopers were dispatched to Tractor Supply on Route 13 in Cortlandville Thursday evening for a reported larceny. Troopers were advised that a vehicle carrying two suspects fled the scene after stealing multiple Carhartt jackets.

Troopers acquired a description of the vehicle and the two suspects, and the vehicle was found on Route 281. According to State Police, the car attempted to enter the I-81 junction when troopers conducted a traffic stop.

During the traffic stop, troopers interviewed two suspects, 27-year-old Nyraeisa Bibbs and 23-year-old Naughtica T. Fulton, both from Syracuse. According to State Police, while troopers were interviewing Fulton, she locked the vehicle with her key fob and threw the keys inside in an attempt to impede their investigation.

According to State Police, troopers were eventually able to determine that Bibbs and Fulton were the Tractor Supply suspects; the jackets were found inside the vehicle. Bibbs was arrested and charged with petit larceny, a misdemeanor, while Fulton was charged with criminal possession of stolen property in the fifth, a misdemeanor.

The two were handed appearance tickets and will appear in Cortlandville Town Court later this month.
