2 Dead And 6 Wounded In ‘Major’ U.S. Highway Crash

Two people are dead and several more are wounded after a “major” U.S. highway crash on Wednesday.

On Thursday, September 18, a massive crash on Interstate 19 near Kilometer Post 83 in Arizona killed two people and injured at least six others. The Arizona Department of Public Safety stated that four automobiles were involved in the collision. The incident occurred on I-19’s southbound lanes around KP-83.

“According to the Santa Rita Fire District, the major vehicle accident included a rollover,” News 4 in Tucson reported.

“SRFD said four vehicles were involved in the accident, that left a total of six patients with injuries, all who were transported to Banner University Medical Center Main Campus. The severity of the injuries are unknown.”

After several hours, the I-19 southbound lanes north of Pima Mine Road were reopened.

A crash investigation is currently underway.
