2 dead, 1 wounded in shooting at Aurora, Illinois restaurant

Two people died and another was wounded during a concert at a restaurant in Aurora, Illinois, on Saturday night.

Aurora police responded at 9:10 p.m. to Two Brothers Roundhouse at 205 N. Broadway, where officers found three gunshot victims.

A woman was taken to a hospital and pronounced dead, while a man was hospitalized in critical condition. Another man, believed to be the shooter, died at the scene, according to Aurora police.

Police said all three individuals involved were believed to know each other, and investigators think the shooting was domestic in nature.

Witnesses posted on Facebook that the shooting happened while the band Beyond the Blonde performed. Moments after the shots, people ran for safety, and one person described hiding under a table.

Returning to the venue stirred intense emotions for lead singer Charity Benevelli on Sunday morning.

“The equipment, everything. My microphone was on the floor just where I left it,” she said.
