Two construction workers were airlifted to a hospital Monday afternoon after being electrocuted at a work site, according to the Rankin County Sheriff’s Office.
The incident happened at approximately 1:15 p.m. near the intersection of Highway 25 and Highway 43. According to deputies, one worker was severely injured but still breathing, while the second sustained minor injuries.
An AirCare helicopter arrived on the scene and transferred both workers to a hospital in Jackson for treatment.
The incident is still under investigation.
