A man is accused of raping a 19-year-old woman who was sitting on a park bench in the Bronx last week when she begged him to stop, according to authorities.
According to the criminal complaint, Xavier Chapman, 30, admitted to sexually assaulting the 19-year-old lady in Washington Park at East 183rd Street in the Bronx around 3 a.m. on September 17.
The victim was sitting on a bench when Chapman approached her, revealed his private area, and pushed her head to touch it, according to authorities.
According to court papers, the woman then pushed him and cried for help while saying “Stop” and “No,” respectively.
Chapman then fled before being apprehended on Friday and charged with rape, sexual assault, forcible touching, and sexual misconduct, authorities said.
