A 12-year-old girl accused of committing two robberies just minutes apart was arrested by D.C. authorities on Sunday.
According to the Metropolitan Police Department, on the evening of October 5, a person returning from a grocery store on a bike was attacked by a group of kids on M Street, NE. One kid threw a bike in the victim’s path, while two other kids attempted to steal the victim’s bike.
According to the MPD report, they managed to get away with some of the victim’s groceries.
A child took another victim’s scooter about 15 minutes later on the Metropolitan Branch route. The kid who stole it began riding away until he spotted a police officer and abandoned his theft.
Before fleeing, the suspect seized the phone from the scooter and took it with them, according to authorities.
