10 People Apprehended In Child Predator Sting In Casa Grande

Casa Grande police said 10 people were apprehended over the weekend as part of a series of operations targeting child sex predators.

According to the department, multiple law enforcement agencies participated in the sting, with undercover operatives posing as youngsters to locate and arrest people attempting to sexually exploit children and underage teens.

The two-day operation, which took place Saturday and Sunday, resulted in 10 arrests on 29 connected criminal charges. Police have yet to identify any of the suspects involved.

“This successful luring operation is a testament to detailed planning, investigative expertise, and the unwavering commitment of our officers and collaborating partners to keep Arizona communities safer from those who prey on our children,” said Casa Grande Police Chief Mark McCrory.

In addition to sex crimes, investigators proposed charging many people with firearms misconduct and narcotics possession. Several guns were also seized.

“This operation reaffirms our department’s commitment to being proactive in our efforts to keep our community and some of its most vulnerable safe from predators like those arrested this weekend. I am extremely proud of the professionalism and dedication of everyone involved and look forward to hosting future operations,” McCrory added.
