One person died after a two-story home caught fire Wednesday afternoon in Sacramento, authorities said.
Firefighters from the Sacramento Fire Department responded to Acacia Avenue near Belden Street around 1:30 p.m. and found heavy flames and smoke coming from the house.
After extinguishing the fire, crews discovered a deceased person inside. Their identity has not yet been released.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
