1 Arrested After Pair Shot In Chicago Garage

A shooting in the Hegewisch neighborhood wounded two individuals on Sunday night, and a suspect was arrested, according to Chicago police.

Around 9:15 p.m., officers arrived to the 13500 block of South Avenue N and discovered a 62-year-old man and a 23-year-old woman shot inside a garage, according to police. The man received gunshot wounds in both legs, while the woman was shot in the right knee.

Both patients were transferred to the University of Chicago Hospital and were classified in good condition.

Police said the gunman, who was known to the victims, remained on the site and was apprehended without incident.

A weapon was discovered, and charges are pending as Area Two detectives conduct their investigation.
