York Institute Volleyball’s Emma Cooper Talks Freshman Season

In The Backbone, UCSN talks with non-seniors to learn about how they contribute to their teams and what they’ve learned about the game they play.

In this edition, we talk with Emma Cooper – a freshman volleyball player at Alvin C. York Institute. Though this is her first season of high school volleyball, it was also the first volleyball season for the Dragonettes since the 80’s. She tells us about the adjustment & experience to this level, her hopes for future seasons, and what it meant to play on this year’s team.
