Wildcats Use Stout Second-Half Defense To Down Westmoreland

The Livingston Academy Wildcats trailed Westmoreland 4-0 at halftime, but did enough on offense to take control in the second half to win by a final score of 12-10.

The Wildcats used a steady ground-and-pound attack to take control, as Parker Coleman led the way with 127 yards on 21 carries. Kaleb Robinson added 42 yards on 12 carries.

Livingston Academy did all of it’s damage in the third quarter, as they scored 12 unanswered points to take a 12-4 lead.

Though Westmoreland was the only team to score in the fourth quarter, it wouldn’t be enough for them to overcome the Wildcats, and LA went on to win by a final score of 12-10.

Livingston Academy will be back in action next Friday when they play Cookeville at Tennessee Tech.
