Wildcats Ranked Ninth Ahead Of Top 10 Matchup

The Monterey Wildcats boys basketball team spent their second week in a row ranked ninth in the Associated Presses Top 10.

Last week the Wildcats picked up wins against Trousdale County on Tuesday, Pickett County on Thursday, and Van Buren County on Saturday.

This Tuesday Monterey earned a road win win against Red Boiling Springs 52 to 48.

Friday night the number two ranked Clay County Bulldogs travel to Monterey for their second showdown of the season. When these two teams first met, in Celina, Clay County took a 13 point victory.

Monterey rides a four game win streak into the game, compared to Clay County’s who has won their last six ball games.
