Wildcats Rally In Second Half Against Red Boiling Springs

It took a all four quarters for the Monterey Wildcats to come back against Red Boiling Springs, to earn a 52 to 48 road victory Tuesday night.

After a 19 point first half, in which the Wildcats trailed by a halftime score of 23 to 19, Monterey’s offense rallied for 33 second half points.

The Wildcats had and advantage from the free throw line and from shots made from three as well. Monterey hit seven shots from behind the three point line against four made shots from Red Boiling Springs.

Monterey also hit nine of their 13 free throw attempts against six of nine from Red Boiling Springs.

Monterey’s Peyton West led them in points with 21 and he added six assist. Cayden Jones and Jaxon Billings each scored 10 points each.

The win improves Monterey’s record to 17-4, and 6-2 in district play. Monterey looks to even the regular season record with Clay County Friday night in Monterey.
