Wildcats Improve to 8-0 In Win Over Bledsoe Co

The Wildcats stay perfect on the year defeating Bledsoe County 27-6 Friday night, in their first road game in over a month.

In presumably Monterey’s toughest match of the season, to this point, Coach Scott Hughes wasted little time making a statement about their intentions for the game.

On the opening kickoff of the game Hughes called and Monterey successfully executed, a middle dribble, onside kick from kicker Rene Telon that he kicked and recovered.

Jordan Key continues to drive the Wildcat offense. Key finished the night 8/12 passing for 159 yards and three touchdowns. Key added 15 yards rushing on the ground.

Keys favorite target on the night, Kevin Borjas, hauled in three catches for 106 yards and a score. Key also found Carter Charlton and Chandler Bowden for touchdown strikes.

Mason Bowman led Monterey in rushing with 13 carries for 60 yards and a one trip to the endzone.

Monterey will face Clay County on October 25th at 7 P.M. in Monterey after their bye week this week.
