Wildcat Football Wins First Round Match-Up Over Maplewood

The Livingston Academy Wildcats are headed to the second round of the playoffs after defeating Maplewood 27-8.

Both teams struggled to start the game, but LA got on the board first with a Tee Beaty 27-yard field goal near the end of the first quarter.

Kaleb Robinson followed that up with a 10-yard touchdown of his own, and Quarterback Will McDonald found Raven Carpenter for a 24-yard score to push the lead to 17-0.

Beaty added his second field goal of the half to send Livingston into the locker room with a 20-0 lead.

Carpenter recovered a fumble in the third quarter, and returned it for a touchdown to give the Wildcats their largest lead of the game at 27-0.

Maplewood got on the board with a touchdown and two-point conversion, but that was all they got as the Wildcats earned a 27-8 victory in the first round of the playoffs.

Livingston will host Nolensville next week at 7 P.M.
